Prof. Ian Stevenson -  Dados Biográficos / Biodata

Carlson Professor Ian Stevenson (1918-2007), a native of Montreal, Canada, studied first at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and then earned a B. Sc. M. D. and C. M. at McGill Universty in Montreal. Upon his graduation from medical school he was awarned the Holmes Gold Medal for the highest aggregate in al subjects forming medical curriculum.

Prof. Stevenson received training in internal medicine and psychsomatic medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, Tulane University in New York, where he also was a Commonwealth Fund Fellow in medicine.

He taught psychiatry and medicine for eight years at Louisiana State University School of Medicine before coming to the University of Virginia in 1957 as professor and chair of the Department of Psychiatry.

Vous êtes la lumière du monde

En période de “guerre” sanitaire à l’échelle planétaire, sans fin en vue, nous observons un monde plus compétitif que coopératif, plus divisé qu’unie, de plus en plus indifférent. Chaque pays se tourne vers lui-même et agit isolément, plutôt que de chercher une solution commune. La désorientation et la désagrégation continuent de prévaloir.  

La population craintive et effrayée se retrouve dans l’incertitude, s’attendant à une crise économique et sociale sans précédent, rendant le monde encore plus inégal.

Ye are the light of the world

In times of health emergency on a planetary scale, with no end in sight, we observe a more competitive than cooperative world, more divided than united, more indifferent than cooperative. Each country turns to itself and acts in isolation, rather than seeking a joint solution. Disorientation and disaggregation prevail.   

The fearful and frightened population is left with uncertainty, knowing that the economy and social crisis is waiting for an unprecedented economic and social crisis, making the world even more unequal.

Vosotros sois la luz del mundo

En tiempo de “guerra” por la salud a escala mundial, sin un final a la vista, observamos un mundo más competitivo que cooperativo, más dividido que unido, más distante de la solidaridad. Cada país vuelvese a sí mismo y actúa en forma aislada, en lugar de buscar una solución conjunta.

En este contexto, invitamos a todos y a los Centros de la Fraternidad Rosacruz para renovar los vínculos. Es tiempo de reencuentro entre sus afiliados. No sólo es el momento de redefinir nuestro papel en un mundo diferente a todo lo que conocíamos, sino también contribuir a curarlo, enseñándole a través de nuestro ejemplo firme y resistente, convirtiendo los obstáculos en oportunidades potenciadoras de nuestro crecimiento individual y colectivo.
